Hoya Care Guide

Hoya Care Guide

Hoyas stand out as some of the most beloved houseplants, gracing homes with their myriad of captivating varieties. The allure of hoyas is irresistible; you'll find yourself wanting more and more!

Here are just a few of our favourites:

🌱 Hoya Pubicalyx

🌱 Hoya Krimson Queen

🌱 Hoya Tricolor

 🌱 Hoya Linearis

Their widespread appeal also arises from their user-friendly care requirements, rendering them an ideal choice for houseplant beginners.

Hoya's love sunlight and need it to thrive, although try not to keep them in direct sunlight, on a window sill for example as this can bleach or dry out the leaves. Try to give your Hoya at least 6 hours of sunlight a day and rotate every few months.

Hoya's grow better in warmer conditions, they don't like anything below 10 degrees C and anything up to 35 degrees C.

Hoya's love to be kept in a humid environment, they are a perfect plant for the bathroom, and they would also do well on a porch out of direct sunlight.

These plants only tend to need watering when the soil on top feels dry to the touch, in the Summer months once a week and less through the Winter about once every two weeks. Hoya's are very sensitive to over-watering, it is better to under-water than over-water, if you under-water the leaves will wilt, which means a little more watering is needed. But if you over-water it is likely your Hoya will die from root rot.

It's as simple as that!

Hoya's really make a beautiful addition to your home! Any questions don't hesitate to drop us a message on Instagram @houseofkojo or send us an email info@houseofkojo.com.
