How we handle shipping during a heatwave
The health of your plants is always our top priority.
During periods of extreme heat, we may need to adjust or pause our shipping schedule to ensure your plants arrive in the best possible condition.
We know waiting isn't ideal, but we'd much rather your plants arrive healthy than spend extra time in an overheated delivery network. Courier vans can easily reach temperatures far higher than the outside air, putting plants at unnecessary risk during transit.
What happens during a heatwave?
- At temperatures of 32°C or above, all plant orders will be temporarily paused.
- While temperatures remain high, we cannot guarantee next-day delivery, even if this option is selected at checkout.
- Orders containing only care items will continue to be dispatched as normal.
- Once temperatures return to a safe level, we'll begin dispatching plant orders again. Please note that there may be a short backlog of orders, so it may take us a little time to get everything on its way.
We monitor weather forecasts across the UK, including temperatures at your delivery location and along the courier network. As temperatures can vary across the country, some orders may be shipped sooner than others.
If you have any questions about your order, please email us at info@houseofkojo.com and our team will be happy to help.
