The Best Christmas Gifts for Plant Lovers in 2026

Finding the perfect Christmas gift for a plant lover isn't always easy. After all, there's a good chance they've already filled every windowsill, shelf and spare corner with greenery!

Luckily, there are plenty of thoughtful gifts that celebrate their love of plants without adding another leafy resident to an already crowded collection. From beautifully scented botanical treats and clever self-watering planters to unusual decorations and rare plant surprises, we've rounded up some of our favourite Christmas gifts for plant lovers in 2026.

Whether you're shopping for a seasoned collector or someone who's just discovered their love of houseplants, there's something here to make their Christmas a little greener.

Kew Gardens Hand Soaps and Hand Creams

A little botanical indulgence is always a welcome gift. The Kew Gardens collection of hand soaps and creams makes a lovely choice for plant lovers who appreciate the finer details.

Inspired by the beauty of the botanical world, these everyday essentials bring a little garden-inspired luxury into the home. They're practical, beautifully presented and perfect for anyone who enjoys a moment of self-care (especially after a rather messy afternoon of repotting!).

Gold Metal Botanical Leaf Decoration

For someone who loves plants, festive decorations with a botanical twist are always a good idea. This Gold Metal Botanical Leaf Decoration brings a subtle touch of nature to the Christmas tree.

With its delicate leaf design and warm metallic finish, it's a lovely alternative to traditional baubles. It also makes a thoughtful little keepsake that can be brought out year after year.

Osmology Bonsai Tree Scented Jar Candle

Who says you can't give the gift of a little greenery without buying another plant? The Osmology Bonsai Tree Scented Jar Candle combines botanical-inspired design with a lovely home fragrance.

Inspired by the miniature beauty of bonsai trees, it's a thoughtful gift for anyone who enjoys bringing natural touches into their home. Perfect for cosy evenings, winter mornings or simply adding something special to a favourite corner.

POTR Self-Watering Pots

For the plant lover who occasionally forgets to water their plants (we've all been there), POTR self-watering pots are a clever and thoughtful choice.

Their innovative design uses a clever wicking system to help keep plants hydrated, making everyday plant care a little easier. They're also beautifully designed, so they look just as good on a shelf as they do on a desk or windowsill.

A particularly good gift for busy plant parents, frequent travellers or anyone looking to take a little of the guesswork out of watering.

A Rare Plant Subscription

For the collector who already seems to own every plant under the sun, why not give them something to look forward to throughout the year?

A rare plant subscription is a gift that keeps on giving, with exciting new additions arriving beyond Christmas Day. It's a brilliant way to discover unusual varieties, grow a collection and try something a little different.

It's also a lovely option if you're not quite sure which plant they'd choose themselves. Let the surprises do the work!

An Air Plant in a Glass Bauble

A Christmas decoration with a living twist! An air plant displayed inside a glass bauble is a lovely way to combine festive styling with a love of houseplants.

Air plants (Tillandsia) are particularly interesting because they don't need traditional potting compost to grow. Instead, they absorb moisture and nutrients through their leaves, making them a fascinating addition to any collection.

Hang one on the Christmas tree or display it somewhere special throughout the year. Just remember that air plants still need occasional watering and good airflow, even when they're dressed up for Christmas.

Plant Animals

For a gift that's guaranteed to make them smile, meet the Plant Animals by Another Studio. These little characters are designed to become part of your plant collection, with gently foldable limbs that clip onto a leaf or stem, allowing them to peek out from amongst the foliage.

With over 35 different designs to collect, there's plenty of personality to choose from. They're a fun little finishing touch for houseplant displays and make a lovely stocking filler for anyone who enjoys a bit of character with their greenery.

Pepin Self-Watering Olla

For a gift that's a little different, the Pepin Self-Watering Olla is a clever addition to any plant lover's collection.

Inspired by traditional olla irrigation, this watering solution uses porous ceramic to release moisture gradually into the surrounding compost. Simply fill it with water and let the ceramic do its thing.

It's a particularly useful choice for anyone with a busy schedule or a growing collection of thirsty plants. Practical, considered and a little bit different from your usual plant gift.

A Houseplant They'll Love

Sometimes, you can't go wrong with a plant. Whether they're just starting their collection or have long run out of windowsill space, a new houseplant is always a lovely gift.

For beginners, consider an easy-going favourite such as a Monstera, Pothos or Philodendron. For the more experienced collector, an unusual variety or something with interesting foliage is sure to go down well.

If you're unsure what they already own, think about choosing something a little different from their usual favourites. After all, there's always room for one more plant!

A House of Kōjō e-Gift Card

Still not sure what to choose? Let them pick their own plant present with a House of Kōjō e-gift card.

It's a lovely option for anyone whose plant wishlist seems to change by the day. They can browse our collection of houseplants, pots and accessories before choosing something they'll truly love.
