Begonia Carolineifolia

Begonia carolineifolia is a striking, architectural begonia known for its dramatic palm-like foliage and thick creeping rhizomes. Large leaves radiate from a central point, forming a hand-shaped structure that gives the plant a bold, tropical presence. Each leaf is divided into deep lobes with serrated edges and rich green colouring, often carried on sturdy reddish stems.

This species grows from chunky rhizomes that slowly crawl across the soil surface, producing new leaves and forming a wide, sculptural plant over time. In the right conditions it also produces clusters of soft pink flowers on tall stems, adding a delicate contrast to its bold foliage.
