about this plant

Hoya Bella

Hoya Bellas or Wax Plant as they are sometimes called are easy to look after, in fact the less you do the less you do the better. The long slender stems can either climb or trail over the edge of a pot or basket. The plant has fleshy leaves and produces clusters of fragrant white starred waxy flowers with a cerise-pinkish centre, indicative of Hoyas. Hoya is a great choice for a gift as they are super easy going, would also be well suited to someone with a busy lifestyle.

keeping it happy

Light Loves a bright spot near a window, without midday sun landing on the leaves.
Humidity Appreciates a mist now and then, or a brighter bathroom spot.

Not what I expected

I chose the Bella Hoya as it’s a favourite plant and I wasn’t expecting such a mature plant on a trellis as I like the hanging aspect of it I emailed and was advised to remove from trellis if I wanted and I found the plant to be a bit spindly Hoping it will grow into itself! I don’t like to be negative and honestly it’s not all so because it is after all a mature Hoya and that in itself is Lovley
