Kratiste poles are new to the market. They are designed to be a more eco-friendly version of moss or coco poles without the PVC or coir fibres. The poles are fully biodegradable and made from potato peel residues and Elephant Grass in a factory in the Netherlands, close to the growers. As a result, the air miles for the product are very low.
You can use the poles exactly how you have been using moss or coir poles previously.

Although the poles aren’t made of plastic, they look like they are. In the photos online they look really woody but in real life they look conspicuously strange, like cheap fake branches. I’m really glad that these poles exist as I love the eco element but after trialing them in one of my plants for a couple of weeks I had to send mine straight to the charity shop.
I can’t fault the service from Grow Tropicals though. :)

I am very happy with this pole, it's more sturdy than I expected, looks like bark and has small holes all the way up. I've used it today with my raphidophora and look forward to seeing it climb.
