Orchid bark is an excellent organic aeration medium to add into substrate blends. From fine to large it can be used in bioactive grow bins and chunky aroid mixes respectively, with endless possibilities in-between. We even grow some orchids exclusively in bark. Just be careful not to overwater as water retention is long-lasting and a dry surface in pots can be deceiving.

Great quantity for the price and no mold or white dusty areas. The description of the size of the pieces is exactly as described. I have found that the size described from other sellers are wrong, which leads me to manually cuttinf up each piece for the size I want. I think I am now addicted to mot only ordering plants from growtropicals, but also different substrate materials because I like to make my own mixes depending on what plants need repotting.

this is good quality fine bark. Have used some as a top dressing on an existing pot. Used more mixed with other ingredients. Happy with the results.
