Philodendron Melanochrysum is a rare plant native to Colombia which belongs to the Araceae family. It is within the Philodendron genus and is a crawling Philodendron with heartleaf shaped green velvety foliage. This is a real wish list plant and it's easy to see why! Gorgeous velvety texture to the leaves and a beautiful orange glow when they catch the light. Didn’t expect it to be as big or well established as it was! Unfortunately the newest leaf was damaged when it arrived but I think this was more to do with the courier as a new shoot has already begun to emerge as it has quickly acclimatised.
Came in well packaged. It’s an absolute stunner, cannot stop looking at it!

It has arrived early this week and already a new leaf is developing. I cannot express how beautiful this plant is. Older leaves are sort of shiny mid-green velvet and younger leaves are of an antique gold colour. It is really stunning even though I ordered a small plant.
