Philodendron and Monstera Mix is a peat free potting mix designed specifically for Philodendrons and Monstera. It's a tweaked version of Jungle Mix entended to complement the finer roots of Philodendron sp. The light and airy mix allows for maximum oxygen exchange whilst retaining a lot of moisture, ensuring a healthy root system whilst avoiding rot. Worm castings in the mix add all the essential nutrients and trace minerals that your plants require and so this is a sure-fire way to start your plants off in the right way.

It arrived in excellent condition, with some nice variegation on the leaves. It has settled in and is already sending up a new leaf.
I bought a couple of bags of this, as I had several Philos in need of potting on. I used it on seven plants, if memory serves, and all seem very happy a couple of months down the line, with new growth on all of them. The P. gloriosum in the photo has doubled in size already.
It's maybe a bit more expensive than nipping to the local B&Q for houseplant compost, but it's also specially tailored for plants that need more root aeration and better drainage, so ultimately it is value for money, as it gives the plants a better chance of growing well.

Packaging very good, plants secure. Two plants came in great shape. One plant came with blackened leaves which is getting worse, not thrilled.
